Martin Luther King: I’ve been to the mountaintop

Today, the U.S. celebrates Martin Luther King Day as a national day of remembrance for Dr. King and the civil rights struggle. This is Dr. King’s last speech, given the night before he was assassinated, on April 3, 1968 at the Mason Temple (Church of God in Christ Headquarters), Memphis, Tennessee:

    Hi Jessie. I just read your bio and took a look at your homepage. I thought you were a grad student in your 20s! I don’t know why. But now that I’ve read your bio, I’m more impressed than I was before! Wow!

    And from my perspective, talk about getting higher education on the cheap! Nice.
