Removing Dobbs would likely have a limited long-term effect. That said, I think the campaign is important in two ways. First of all, it brings to light the fact that Dobbs is spreading lies. Secondly, precisely because there are millions of people that buy into what he says, responsible journalism is something worth fighting for. The dehumanization of undocumented migrants in the media by referring to them as "illegals" and "criminal aliens" definitely has something to do with the widespread belief that undocumented migrants do not deserve the same dignities that "Americans" do.
