Lectures! @Sis I will really give this some deep thought because your question is valid. However, maybe, Black History Month. That month would be a great way to incorporate the topic of Africa. Sadly, I do believe, each state has it's own standards or curriculum's. Maybe if enough of WE the people voices were heard it could be accomplished. Let me think, and as mentioned before, I have some real serious stuff going on, but if I could be a help in anyway even if just one person at a time, I'll do my part, and that's a promise from the heart. Thanks, MOM:)

Ellen, again, thank you for the education, but I knew about the slavery in third world countries...As mentioned before, I have no problem with this site. However, I do have a problem with brutal attacks on Americans. This site is not about black verses white. This site, I thought, was a new way of looking at racism, in regards, to how our "fore white" fathers founded this country, and apparently brainwashed all people in this country into the euro centrism way of thinking. Anyway, there are a lot of inter-racial marriages between whites and blacks, so what may have held true in the past is changing through time.. Just like the saying "the wheels of justice" grinds slow, so may the "wheels of justice" grind slow concerning racism. However, if people don't know that there is a problem; then how can people fix the problem. I personally find this new way at looking at racism to be very interesting. However, there are a lot of people that would also agree if given the chance to explore this site without brutal attacks. And, with this being said, I really have "a truck load of s&%" going on in my personal life has nothing to do with "white flight" , but real life changes. I will continue to learn welcomed or not, but I will not tolerate insults, nobody should. Thanks, MOM:)

@ ellen: You are correct when you claim, [“Yeah..but..if we look at our media [from textbooks to television to computers] for centuries, the picture is of What America Wants To Look Like From a White Perspective. And the fact is, America does Not Want to Accept Huddled Masses!”] It’s part of the American way to save face and pretend like we want inclusion for the sake of looking good to others.
-
@mom: You touched on a good point: Education. In theory that is the optimal solution. However, when it comes to the application of it in communities, universities, job-training, this is where we will come up against resistance. Important questions to ask are: Who will define the curriculum? What will be the processes to overcome the resistance that will (inevitably) ensue? These are things to think about lest education forums become like the GUN-toting Health Care townhall meetings. YIKES.
