		<description>Mathews sure has a strange way of articulating his positions. You had recently cited him saying that he isn&#039;t a sociologist, he&#039;s just an american. Or some such nonsense. I don&#039;t think he even knows what he is saying. This of course doesn&#039;t excuse him but he simply is parroting what most of the other pundits routinely say when this issue arises. I am quite certain they all keep referring to this particular block of white-racist voters as &#039;working-class&#039; voters. It has clearly moved into the vernacular of codified words.  Colorblind?-Hardly. Blind?-Yup, In a big way</description>
