Okay okay...let's just get through the primaries...I do understand where you're coming from, believe me!! But, considering it's all we have for now, and now matters (every single day until March 4th here) I am going to do what I can to pull in the voters!!! (and Rage owns!!! :) ) Take care and thank you for at least standing behind Obama!!! High five!

Seattle, while your diatribe was an interesting read I must mention the fact that change will not come through voting. Sure it sounds nice, makes you feel good when you tell your friends who you voted for but nothing comes of it.
Don't get me wrong I am an Obama "supporter" as much as an independent can be but what does voting do. Granted it changes the people who occupy the White House/Congress etc but these people, all of them have been thoroughly sifted through the white racist, male sexist, rich classist and straight heterosexist frames. He has been thoroughly vetted by all of these processes and would not be in contention if he did not believe in, or simply ignore all of them.

So while I appreciate your sentiment, Seattle I believe your optimism is misplaced. And props for citing Rage Against the Machine.

As Rage Against the Machine says, “Some of those who are in forces, are the same that burn crosses”…. Urban, rural, police brutality and other forms of both overt and covert terrorisms, it’s everywhere and it has to stop.

But please allow me to quickly share—in Texas, today I saw with my own eyes three Republicans who have crossed the fence and are Obama supporters!!! I just wanted to share this message specifically for voters in Texas—things can change, but you need to vote and your vote for the March 4th Democratic election will count—in Texas, voters can participate in BOTH the republican and democrat primaries—please vote. Being new to Texas, and for others who are not Natives or relatively new, here’s how it works: 1. You can vote early at your local voting location between Tuesday, February 19 and Friday, February 29. or 2. Vote at the polls on March 4th between 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Now, Obama supporters in Texas, we need you to do one more thing—be at your local precinct on March 4th by 7:00 a.m. to participate in the Caucus—but you must vote to be in the Caucus!!! The Caucus is very important!

One way to begin combating racism and other “isms” is to vote. One way to begin the road for an apology and reparations for past wrongs, is to vote and in my opinion, vote for Obama. Texans vote! And democrats for Obama in Texas! Vote and attend the Caucus on March 4th at 7:00 a.m.!!! It will count on March 4th!!! Educate others and pass on the word!!!

Okay, off my soapbox....
