As a student who has attended predominantly white educational institutions with relatively low Jewish populations, what is said above is not new in the elitist walls of higher education. I am not aware of any significant problems of the Frankfurt schools…unless it is that they lack positivistic framework? If that’s the case, I reject the criticisms. So please discuss the flaws. As far as I am concerned, the Frankfurt school of thought sheds light and awareness of issues of power and control. Legitimate scholarly thought need not be positivistic or psuedo in nature. The Frankfurt school demonstrates their knowledge based on experience, collective memory, and critical thought. It’s not only an attack on Germans who are apologetic for the Holocaust, but also Jewish scholars and anybody whom endorses their work. At least Germany wishes not to repeat its history. And I can handle racism by the uneducated and even be sympathetic (though not tolerant) of their positions (as I ultimately see them victims of the so-called “educated” who pray on their ignorance). It’s entirely different when it comes from those who are educated. It’s deliberate. And no, I’m not apologetic for what I say. Of course, we must be “civilized” in the elitist circles…of course, and the “we” is limited to only certain populations…. Will—of course. However, I am not able to simply just ignore what is said above…and especially condone it.
